Our house must respond to our needs so that we can live it to the fullest.
However, in order to adapt it, it is often necessary to knock down or build walls in different positions in order to make the most of the space available to us. A solution comes from the architects at the Madrid-based studio PKMN Architectures.
In fact, these architects suggest the use of movable walls that can be moved very easily without carrying out massive masonry work. In this way, therefore, it will be possible to change the layout of the spaces in many different ways, with very little effort.
In this way, it will be possible to modify our house with very little effort and in no time.
“Our first Little Big House was Yolanda’s home” Carmelo Rodríguez Cedillo, one of the project’s architects said. “She met us at a Design Thinking event, where we were giving a lecture. We chatted for a bit, and there was a certain feeling. A few months later, she called and asked us to renovate an apartment that had belonged to her grandmother, which she now wanted to turn into a design studio.”
It was a 538 square feet house and Yolanda wanted to use all the space. The only way to have a large kitchen, a bedroom, a large bathroom and a large studio was to use movable furniture. The result was incredible!
