For Rihanna Donald Trump is the “most mentally ill man in America”.
Vogue has published the interview made with the singer, where she openly share all her feelings and thinking about the President: it’s “devastating” to live in a country where people still kill themselves with legally purchased weapons. It’s unbelievable that we are still living this situation in the US.
Mass shooting are blooding the country, El Paso Texas, Dayton Ohio, deeply shocked me, and Donald Trump answer has been completely racist. For the president the shootings were caused by mental illness problem, but for Rihanna this is a misinterpretation of the word Terrorism.
Murder classification can’t depend upon the color of the skin. If a black man shoots in Walmart the president would never classify the murderer as mental ill person.
The singer was very worried about the racism. She, as native Barbadian, takes very seriously the problem as she lived on her own skin these differences. She is so worried and scared about the current situation that she is not even able to find the words to help immigrant growing up in the US right now.
I don’t know what to say as I don’t see any improvement in the future. Can I say it is gonna be better? How can I state or even believe in that? I fill a pain in my stomach. Everything we are living is so real, public and in front of everybody’s eyes.
The famous singer also shared that she turned down the opportunity to sing in the 2019 super bowl halftime show only in solidarity of the NFL player Colin Kaepernick.
What can I do? she questioned. There are things in the organisation I don’t understand and agree to, so there is nonsense to go and be of service to them.
